Diagnosis:

Colour

Dorsally and ventrally mottled medium to dark brown with some pale patches and sparse polished yellow bumps.

Texture

Densly and uniformly punctate, some rugopuncation on pronotum and scutellum.

Vestiture

Thick white scale hairs on dorsal and ventral surfaces.

Structure

Body - Elongate-ovoid, dorsally convex. Length 3.0 mm -4.5 mm; width 2.5 mm -3.5 mm.

Head - Subtriangular, strongly dorsoventrally orientated (clypeus vertical), shorter than pronotum; jugae longer than clypeus and joined apically, broad and truncate, laterally carinate; antennifer processes absent; four antennal segments, first segment shorter than distance between eyes, inserted below ventral margin of eyes; bucculae elongate (posteriorly beyond antennifers); vertex flattened; labium reaching mid coxae, first labial segment short, equal to bucculae; eyes not stylate, directed laterally.

Pronotum - Calli present and well developed; anterior lobe behind head excavate; raised, polished ridge running longitudinally down middle pronotum; humeral angles angulate divided, enlarged but not greatly expanded; lateral margins rounded; anterolateral margins concave and simple; posterolateral margins concave; posterior margin straight to concave.

Scutellum - U-shaped, greatly enlarged, as long as abdomen, apex broadly rounded; greatly enlarged bump on anterior area; lateral calli absent; medial calli absent.

Thoracic sterna - Prosternum shallowly sulcate, without margin processes; mesosternum and metasternum sulcate.

External efferent system - Evaporative gland greatly reduced; peritreme short, apically rounded.

Hemelytra - Macropterous, shorter or equal to abdomen; membrane veins linear (when visible).

Legs - Tibiae rounded, not sulcate.

Abdomen - Connexiva visible dorsally; laterotergites unarmed.
