Diagnosis:

Colour

Dorsally with pale brown, greenish-brown or orange base with blue, red or orange patches on the pronotum, scutellum and hemelytra. Ventrally greenish-brown or light brown, sometimes with blue markings on lateral abdomen. Legs and antennae pale brown or with greenish tinge and concolourous.

Texture

Moderately and shallowly punctate dorsally and ventrally.

Vestiture

Glabrous.

Structure

Body - Elongate-ovoid, dorsally convex; length 6.5 mm -10.0 mm; width 5.0 mm - 7.2 mm.

Head - Subtriangular to subhemispherical, moderately dorsoventrally orientated, shorter than pronotum; jugae equal in length to clypeus, apically pointed, laterally carinate; antennifer processes absent; five antennal segments, first antennal segment shorter than distance between eyes, inserted into head below mid-height but above ventral margin of eyes; bucculae elongate (posteriorly beyond antennifers); labium elongate, extending onto second or third abdominal sterna, first labial segment equal in length to bucculae; eyes not stylate, directed laterally.

Pronotum - Calli present but quite faint; anterior lobe surface flat; humeral angles rounded; anterolateral margins simple and arcuate; posterolateral margins straight to slightly sinuate; posterior margin straight to concave.

Scutellum - Triangular, apex broadly rounded; lateral calli and medial callus absent.

Thoracic sterna - Prosternum very shallowly sulcate with very low raised keel; mesosternum with low raised keel; metasternum flat.

External efferent system - Evaporative scent gland covering between half and all of metepisternum; peritreme elongate, apically pointed.

Hemelytra - Macropterous, longer than abdomen; membrane vains linear and mostly subparallel.

Legs - Fore tibia rounded.

Abdomen - Connexiva not visible dorsally; laterotergites unarmed.
