Diagnosis:

Colour

Dorsally and ventrally mottled light to medium brown with dark brown punctations. Legs and antennae mottled light to dark brown.

Texture

Dorsally and ventrally densely and deeply punctate.

Vestiture

Dorsally with very short, thick hairs on head, pronotum, and scutellum. Ventrally glabrous.

Structure

Body - Elongate -ovoid, dorsoventrally flattened; length 4.0 mm - 6.0 mm; width 2.3 mm - 4.3 mm.

Head - Quadrate, moderately dorsoventrally orientated, as long than pronotum; jugae longer than clypeus, not meeting (joined ) apically, truncate and broad apically, laterally carinate; antennifer processes present; five antennal segments, first segment shorter than distance between eyes, inserted into head below mid-height but above ventral margin of eyes; bucculae elongate (posteriorly beyond antennifers); vertex cross-section shape convex; labium extending onto abdomen to second or third sternum, first labial segment longer than bucculae; eyes not stylate, directed laterally.

Pronotum - Calli present; anterior lobe surface excavate; humeral angles subangulate; lateral margins explanate; anterolateral margins crenulate and sinuate; posterolateral margins straight to slightly sinuate; posterior margin straight to concave.

Scutellum - Triangular, apex broadly rounded, lateral calli present with deep pits adjacent, medial callus absent.

Thoracic sterna - Prosternum deeply sulcate, with margin processes; mesosternum and metasternum sulcate.

External efferent system - Evaporative scent gland covering up to half metepisternum, peritreme short, apically rounded.

Hemelytra - Macropterous, as long or longer than abdomen; membrane veins linear and mostly subparallel.

Legs - Fore tibia sulcate.

Abdomen - Connexiva visible dorsally; laterotergites unarmed; ventral abdomen with a weak labium groove.
