Diagnosis:

Colour

Dorsally and ventrally medium to dark brown or, yellow and black striped. Legs and antennae mottled brown or banded yellow and black.

Texture

Moderately and uniformly punctate.

Vestiture

Glabrous.

Structure

Body - Elongate, parallel-sided; dorsally convex. Length 6.7 mm -10.1 mm; width 3.1 mm -6.5 mm.

Head - Triangular to subtriangular, moderately dorsoventrally orientated, as long or longer than pronotum; jugae equal in length or longer than clypeus, not meeting (free) in front of eyes, laterally carinate; antennifer processes present; five antennal segments, first antennal segment shorter than the distance between the eyes, inserted below mid-height but above the ventral margin of the eyes; bucculae elongate (posteriorly beyond antennifers); vertex cross-sectional shape convex; labium reaching between middle coxae and second abdominal sterna, first labial segment longer than bucculae; eyes not stylate, directed laterally.

Pronotum - Calli present; anterior lobe surface flat; humeral angles angulate to subangulate; lateral margins slightly explanate; anterolateral margins simple and concave to sinuate; posterolateral margins convex to sinuate; posterior margin straight to convex.

Scutellum - Triangular, apex narrowly rounded; lateral calli present; medial callus absent.

Thoracic sterna - Prosternum deeply sulcate with margin processes; mesosternum and metasternum sulcate.

External efferent system - Evaporative scent gland covering about half the metepisternum; peritreme short, apically pointed.

Hemelytra - Macropterous, equal to or longer than abdomen; membrane veins linear and mostly subparallel.

Legs - Fore tibiae sulcate.

Abdomen - Connexiva visible or not visible dorsally; laterotergites unarmed, or armed with very small spines.
