Key to the Tingidae of Australia

This key enables the user to identify to generic level the adult Tingidae found in Australia. The Tingidae belong to the order Hemiptera (True Bugs) and are represented by sixty-five genera in Australia.

The key has been constructed from examination of preserved specimens held at the Australian Museum. The choice of genera and species is based on locality information taken from literature records and specimen data held by the museum.

This key was created by Gerry Cassis and Matthew Bulbert, of the Centre for Biodiversity and Conservation Research, Australian Museum, Sydney. The illustrations and key construction are by Matthew Bulbert and the descriptions and taxonomic decisions by Gerry Cassis.
